Pattern 1084 Spode bone china Chocolate Cup with Cover & Stand in orange enamel with rich gilding.  This pattern is sometimes described as catkins but it  probably derived from an Oriental design and these are probably wisteria flowers.  This pattern was introduced at Spode c1807.
You can see this same design in a different colour way at Spode pattern 1090 (illustrated).
Notice that the cup stand does have a well in its centre unlike other saucers of this period.  The idea had come to the UK from France and it was called a Tasse Trembleuse which was a cup with a deep saucer to enable people suffering from the trembles to carry & drink a beverage, usually hot chocolate, without spilling it.
This piece is in very good condition for its age.
Each piece carries the pattern number '1084' in red enamel
