Pattern 1216 Spode bone china Coffee Can in another very pretty Imari design introduced at Spode c1808. This one has a French Rococo whiff about it with its scrolling & curling gilt around the hand-painted floral reserves. The use of turquoise & caramel coloured enamels together with the traditional Imari colour palate makes for a pleasing piece of porcelain.

A tiny bit of wear to the gilding on the Spode 'kinked' handle but otherwise fine. This has obviously been cherished for the last 200+ years.

A few tiny specks of kiln dust inside still

An Oriental decorative motif appears here and the opposite side by the handle.
