Pattern 1516 Spode bone china Bute shape Coffee Can bat printed in reddish brown enamel known as 'French Brown' with fruits & foliage together with band & line gilding. This pattern was introduced c1810 by Spode II. It is a very pleasing design which is more gentile & refined rather than full-on bling.

There is no getting away from the odd specks of kiln dust

The Josiah Spode II gilded & kinked handle looks quietly good taste

A beautiful piece of English bone china porcelain still looking lovely after 200+ years

Nearly clean inside - if you like perfection (I personally don't) antique Spode bone china c1810 is not the place to look for it!

Nothing on its base; no pattern number or decorator's marks but the main pieces of the Tea/Coffee Service would have been marked with the pattern number
