Pattern 1842 Spode bone china Large Saucer Dish (otherwise known as a Bread & Butter Plate), decorated in another Imari design and introduced c1812. I had never seen this design before purchasing this dish & I have not seen any other pieces like it since. It is a very well travelled piece which came to me from Australia.

The shape is a shallow dish. Two of these dishes were included with a standard Tea/Coffee service, one of approximately 8.5 inches in diameter & the other a bit smaller at 7.25 inches. My dish is the smaller of the two.

It is marked to its base with its pattern number '1842' in red enamel but it is a little bit faint
