Pattern 2149 Spode bone china Teapot Stand from another ornithological series with 'Flower Embossed' moulding & French Edge gilt decoration.  The centre is hand-painted with a 'Wheatear' bird in natural landscape.  This pattern was introduced by Spode c1814.
The shape of the Spode Teapot which would have sat on this stand and the matching shaped pieces are illustrated in a Tea Service pattern 2637 in the book 'Spode, a History of the Family, Factory & Wares from 1733 to 1833' written by Leonard Whiter illustration number 263.  Interestingly this shape is not in the Spode 1820 shape record book & the name of the shape is unknown however it is definitely recognised as Spode's.
A similar shaped Tea Service in pattern 2638 can be seen here although the Teapot handle is slightly different to the one in Leonard Whiter's book:
As this shape does not have a name at present, I am going to call it Silver shape because it looks very similar to silver Teapots of this period which had attached handles made of ebony, ivory, wood or bone that didn't transfer the heat.
See also my pattern 2777 Spode Creamer (illustrated) in this Silver shape.
This Teapot Stand is marked to its base with the name of the bird in black enamel script and its pattern number '2149' in red.  Note the base has a 'combed' effect.
