Pattern 3542 Spode bone china Teapot Stand in the Oblong or Silver shape.  It is 'Flower Embossed' around the four sides & is finished with a gilt 'French Edge'.  The centre is hand-painted with Exotic Birds in a Landscape which is very similar to Spode's pattern 2149 (illustrated) but I believe that one portrayed native birds in landscapes.  This pattern was introduced at Spode c1823.
Pleasingly painted, this is very typical of Spode's landscape painting of this period.
The red enamel mark on the base of this Spode Teapot Stand is rather worn but can just be made out.  There is also another Andrews Collection sticker from a previous collector which I like to keep.
Marked 'SPODE' & its pattern number '3542' in red enamel.
