Pattern 477 Spode bone china porcelain Large Saucer Dish otherwise known as a Bread & Butter Plate measuring approximately 8 inches or 20.5 cms in diameter.  This pattern was introduced by Josiah Spode II c1803.
You can see that the gilding is rather scratched & worn but I was happy to purchase this early piece of Spode from Moorabool Antiques in Australia because they don't crop up very often.  You can still see the listing on their website but they made a mistake with the pattern number & it is listed as pattern 447 in error.  See it here: https://moorabool.com/product/spode-saucer-dish-flower-panels-stars-pat-447-circa-1805/
I'm not sure what the puce & yellow flowers are but the orange ones look like nasturtiums & the pink ones are obviously roses.  This simple design with three floral reserves of fan shape interspersed with gilt stars is very pleasing.
Now here is an image that will make you say 'Wow' & 'Wow' again, if like me, you love early Spode bone china.  It comes courtesy of Bonham's - I just wish I had known about it at the time of the auction.  https://www.bonhams.com/auctions/10752/lot/1212/
You can enlarge their photo to really zoom in.  You can see some damage to the pieces but imagine how impressive this Spode Tea Service would have looked c1803.  It is also interesting that Bonham's note the impressed 'S' on the base of some pieces.  I also have some Spode pieces on this site which have an impressed 'S' on their bases (see patterns 506, 1220 & 1250).
This Spode Large Saucer Dish is marked to its base with its pattern number '477' in gilt.
