Pattern 909 Spode bone china Bute shape Coffee Can introduced c1806.  This is another variation of an earlier pattern known as 'all over leaf' or 'tiny gilt leaves' which may be seen on Pattern 531 (not illustrated) & Pattern 609 (illustrated).  It includes two bands of cobalt blue enamel with gilt diamond motif at the top & bottom on the outer decoration plus another band at the top rim on the inner decoration.  All decoration is painted by hand.
A solidly gilt & kinked handle
Some wear to the gilding at the base of the can where the owner steadied it with their other hand.  Also wear to the top rim.
'All over leaf' was a popular design
Wear to the gilding around the top rim
No maker's marks on here which is usual for this date
A Spode Coffee Can & Saucer in this same pattern can be seen in the Victoria & Albert Collections although their saucer is very worn, see here: http://collections.vam.ac.uk/item/O335120/cup-and-saucer-spode-ceramic-works/
